Inflammatory processes

back to Trauma/surgery >>

Soft tissue inflammations that may spread even to the bone should be diagnosed and treated as swiftly as possible. In addition to a possible incision to drain discharge, therapy may include immobilization by splint and antibiotics medication.

Diagnoses may include abscesses, boils, bursitis, phlegmons, seroma, etc. Minor surgical reparations may also be necessary in septic finger- or toenails (e.g. Emmert surgery).
