Orthopedic sports medicine
During anamnesis we detect the impact of movement, exercise, sports, or lack of physical activity on healthy and ill people of all ages. This allows us to derive results for prevention, therapy, and rehabilitation.
Typical sports-related diseases and injuries are tennis and golfer’s elbows, a form of enthesitis of the ulnar extensor/flexor on the elbow. Afflictions also include runner's, jumper's or soccer knees, typically in patients who run a lot, as well as swimmer's shoulder, which is also common in throwing sports (basketball, volleyball). Another major area are tendon injuries such as ski thumb and Achilles tendon tears. Fatigue fractures are also typical sports-related injuries.
