The most common reason why patients see us is because they feel pain when putting weight on their feet due to

  • malalignments or anomalies of the foot (talipes valgus, fallen arches, splayfoot, or flatfoot).

Other foot problems include

Customized shoe inlays or orthopedic shoes usually bring relief for these patients. Should inlays/orthopedic shoes not deliver the desired results, the patient may consider a surgical correction of the foot/toe malalignment.

  • In addition to the conservative measures mentioned above, extracorporeal shock wave therapy has proven highly effective in cases of heel spur. Surgical procedures have become very uncommon and are only employed in extreme cases.
